THE PAST CUSTOMS of countless generations’ holidays celebrations assumed that families and the community would join together for feasting and dancing.  From the earliest days of this, our own country, Christmastide balls held their own place alongside feasts, foxhunts, and fairs; horse races and house visits; wooings and weddings; sleigh rides and skating; concerts and caroling; and many other delightful diversions of the Days of Christmas (all twelve of them).

Following in this same tradition, The Fellowship of Arts & Mysteries, Ltd., is offering an opportunity for young, old, and in-between to finish out the Twelve Days of Christmas with jollity, goodwill, and cheerful tidings. The practice of extending our holidays beyond New Year’s Day has been mostly forgotten amid the modern rush of life.  This year, however, the Fezziwig Family Fandango (“Fandango” being 18th-Century slang for a ball) is being brought out in style, bringing families in our community together.
